As the weather cools and the days get shorter, it can be challenging to stay on top of your fitness routine. With the holiday season approaching, finding ways to maintain or even improve your fitness is more important than ever. Here are 5 ways to Improve Fitness in the Fall.

When the clocks "fall back" and we gain an extra hour, it’s the perfect opportunity to reset your fitness routine. Use this bonus time to fit in an early morning workout, making the most of the daylight and setting a positive tone for the rest of your day. Not only will you feel more energized, but you’ll also boost your metabolism.
Tip: Book a session with Vanessa or Anthony.  Early risers have the perfect opportunity to jumpstart their day especially with the help of one of our personal trainers!


2. Keep Moving Indoors as Days Get Shorter
With the fall season comes shorter days, making it harder to get outside for workouts. However, staying active indoors is easy and fun at Lakeridge Athletic Club! We offer a wide range of cardio equipment to keep you moving, including a large selection of treadmills located both upstairs and downstairs in the workout areas. You’ll also find spin bikes in our upstairs fitness room, available for open use during non-class hours—perfect for those who love a cycling workout and may not be able to attend one of Pilar’s classes. 
Tip: Make the most of our indoor facilities by setting weekly goals and creating a consistent routine. Whether you prefer cardio, strength training, or a good spin session, we have everything you need to stay active no matter the weather.


3. Balance Holiday Indulgence with Smart Eating
The fall season brings festive gatherings, and it’s easy to indulge in delicious holiday meals. While it’s important to enjoy these moments, staying mindful of your eating habits can help you avoid packing on extra pounds. Focus on portion control, making healthier choices, and balancing indulgent meals with regular workouts.
Tip: Plan a quick workout at Lakeridge before big holiday meals. It’s a great way to burn calories and feel energized throughout the festivities. Plus, working out before indulging can help you make more mindful food choices.
